We have all heard of Destination Weddings, but how about Destination Wedding Cakes? …
Once in awhile brides deciding on a destination wedding to France or Italy will ask us for a traditional American wedding cake as they are accustomed to seeing in the U.S.A. So we say, “ when in Rome, do as the Romans”… what we mean by that is simply that to duplicate a three-tier traditional American wedding cake with fondant icing is not impossible, it’s just very seldom done in France or Italy. The few caterers who will do this for you are generally located in major cities and far away from most destination wedding venues; and they will charge you a fortune compared to the U.S.!
So instead of spending all that money on a three-tier wedding cake with icing, why not go all the way with your French destination wedding and have a French Wedding cake instead…

The best-man is the chief male assistant to the bridegroom at a wedding. In North America and Europe, the groom extends this honor to someone who is close to him, generally either a brother or his closest male friend. While the best man’s required duties are only those of a friend, in the context of an American/European wedding the best man will typically:
-
assist the groom on the wedding day,
-
keep the wedding rings safe until needed during the ceremony,
-
act as a legal witness to the marriage,
and most importantly make a
toast to the bride and groom at the reception!
